This policy explains how Clutch Deal Pte Ltd (“ClutchDeal”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you use our services, including our WhatsApp channels and this website. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Contact details: your name and the mobile number you message us from.
- Vehicle details: plate number, make and model, registration and ownership information, intended handover date, photos you send, and the rebate and valuation figures we retrieve for your vehicle.
- LTA access code: used only to retrieve your vehicle’s rebate information from LTA on your behalf.
- Dealer details: for dealers, the business name, contact person, mobile number and the bids you place.
- Messages: the content of messages you send us on WhatsApp.
How we use it
- To retrieve your vehicle’s rebate figures and prepare its details for dealers.
- To run bidding sessions, tell dealers about vehicles and bidding outcomes, and tell sellers about offers.
- To arrange the sale and handover once you accept an offer.
- To respond to your questions, keep records, and meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Registered dealers: vehicle details are shared with dealers invited to bid. Your name and contact number are shared only with the dealer whose offer you accept.
- Service providers: companies that help us run our service, such as WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) for messaging, and our cloud hosting, database and email providers. They may process data outside Singapore, and we require them to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
- Authorities: where required by law.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
Data is stored with access controls and encrypted connections. Access is limited to people who need it to run the service.
Your choices
You can ask to access or correct your personal data, or withdraw consent to our use of it, by emailing us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to continue helping you sell your vehicle. We respond to requests within 30 days.
